Don't Be.

I am so sorry you have a reason to be here and I'm glad you've found The Unquiet Community. i wish i could welcome you for a different, completely pleasant reason. yet here we are.

We Are Unquiet.

I created this site for you. To support you in your pain. To give you validation, acknowledgement, and words to hold onto. To help you feel less alone. Finding someone who sounds like you, who thinks and feels like you, is immensely powerful.

Whether you're new on the path to healing, have begun to explore your new life after sexual trauma, or truly want to support your friends or family -- though I wish you had no need for The Unquiet Community, I'm glad you're here. I hope Unquiet serves as permission for you to speak your silence. We can find the peace and freedom we've always deserved; you and I, we can fight for freedom today.

Click a link in one of the boxes below to start exploring this site. You can read the blog, join The Unquiet Community of survivors who just get it, explore trauma on the We Are Unquiet podcast, or give expression to your pain in the I Never Told Anyone Course. Don't forget to sign up for the newsletter located at the bottom of each page.

There is more than anger, more than grief, more than fear.
There is hope.

This was made for you : discover freedom in your story

You deserve to be unafraid, unashamed, and understood

No silver-linings, no platitudes. 100% transparency. What you've been through is painful and wrong and often feels raw. You may not ever completely escape the pain. But you can choose the pain that frees over the pain that traps. Your trauma will appear in the form of a dark trench. So this is me, climbing down with you to your dark trench, saying I know what it’s like down there and you’re not alone first. Second, this is me sitting with you, for as long as you need in silence. Third, this is me breaking the silence, offering to take the first step on the ladder, hand-in-hand. The second step won’t seem so hard when we climb together..

The two greatest miseries you will ever face are bearing an untold story inside of you and allowing that silence to keep you pretending and disguised as something you’re not.

You can start by finding your voice

Because as much as I’ve tried otherwise, I’ve found that you cannot heal if you are still pretending or avoiding. Healing requires the authentic, raw you.
